Guacamole

Magazines hidden under mattresses, kids with robot arms, projectile vomiting. "Guacamole" has a lot to like.

wow that's a lot of work. I like to do the same thing but definitely not that clean or posed. I do find it a lot easier than tons of storyboard revisions though. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey Wendy, good work. Hey was this drawn on a Cintiq drawing Tab or just pencils?

Gavin Freitas said...

Oh crap, I just saw your other post about the Cintiq. My question has been answered. I just picked up one a few weeks ago and I'm in love with it. My production gets done in half the time. What software are you runing to draw in the computer Dave? ("Not Wendy") Thanks

Hi Gavin,

I was using Painter, but switched over to Photoshop because it was a bit more stable on the large files.

Alias Sketchbook is awesome - it probably the best line quality of all the drawing programs, but it has a bit of a hard time with big, multi-panel files.. And I think they went out of business.

Cool thanks! I'm using both of those but whats a good setting for Photoshop for a brush? Or Painter? Sorry for all the questions but I think you boards look great, I want mine to look good too!

Dave , these are great. But as a board artist I'd hate it.

Hey Gavin,

The Nagel Series 33 set has some good pencil and charcoal brushes. It can be downloaded for free here:

@jez

i was a board artist on this show, and while it seemed like a good idea at first, it ended up not being such a good one. the idea of me being a board artist on this show, that is.

that said, these beat boards are a good way to control the outcomes of the boarding process.
